Congratulations to MSHS Football!

The Mary Star football team’s 2024 season may have ended in heartbreaking overtime defeat in the CIF semifinal against Palmdale, but their journey this year stands as a testament to resilience and determination. After a tough 3-8 record in 2023, the Stars made an impressive turnaround, finishing with a 10-3 mark and earning the #1 seed in Division 12. Along the way, they triumphed over tough opponents like Fontana in the playoffs and Dos Pueblos in a thrilling final-second victory on the road. They also dominated their rivals Bishop Montgomery and St. Bernard with large-margin wins, underscoring their growth and competitive edge.

Key players helped drive the Stars’ success throughout the season. Quarterback Tanner Rollins and wide receiver Andrew Washington IV broke multiple records for passing, scoring, and yardage, while senior Jordan Barber excelled with over 1,500 all-purpose yards and led the team in tackling. The offensive line, anchored by senior Max Marinkovich, provided the necessary protection and power for the team’s explosive offense. However, every member of the team contributed greatly to this years’ success. With their remarkable turnaround and a bright future ahead, this season represents a major step forward for Mary
