Memoir
Honestly, I could write a thousand memoirs about my time with Mary Star. The school and parish has been a part of my life since I was born and has been a part of my family from years before. One of my favorite memories was running for and becoming the Mary Star of the Sea Jubilee Fiesta Queen in 2000. I had dreamed since Kindergarten of one day wearing the crown I had seen so many Stars before me wear. I knew I would eventually run in high school but winning was a whole different story. My family and friends helped tremendously with the entire process and it was awesome to see the payoff not just for us, but for the school and church too of course. I was honored to be able to run with some of my good friends and I was also able to meet many wonderful "San Pedrans" while hosting and attending several events. I was extremely proud to call myself a "Star" in the 13 years I attended that school and to be crowned the Jubilee Queen was literally the icing on the cake. It was a moment and year I will truly never forget. Who knows...maybe one day I will have a daughter and she will walk in my footsteps. Staying true to the gold and blue.....
