Student Council
All
students are members of the Associated Student Body. The Student
Council has been organized to establish democratic procedures governing
student activities and to develop a sense of responsibility, self-discipline,
leadership, cooperation, scholarship, school spirit and Christian
virtues. The Associated Student Body government attempts to make
the students more involved in government affairs in conjunction
with the administration and faculty. Its aim is to promote harmonious
relationships throughout the school by means of organized activities
and projects.

2007-2008 School Theme:
THE START OF SOMETHING NEW
The
summer has come and gone, and the Mary Star student council has been
busy planning another year of great activities for the entire MSHS
family. At Mary
Star's Leadership week, held at Mary Star's Campus, the A.S.B. and
class officers, along with dozen of other students, spent time organizing
and brainstorming ideas for Welcome Freshmen Week, the new school
dedication, and homecoming. This year's homecoming theme is Rock
N' Roll High School.
Special dress days, lunchtime activities, and evening festivities
will abound this year. Of special focus during the Leadership Weekend
was the planning of this year's school theme.
The
A.S.B. chose "The Start of Something New" as this year's
theme to be carried out in all aspects of school life: academics,
spirituality, athletics, activities, and among all students and
faculty. If enough people reach their stars, and help others reach
theirs, then Mary Star High School will become even a greater place.
