To mark the beginning of
the new school year, the Booster club holds the Fall Kickoff Swordfish
Barbecue and Pasta Dinner. Here during the course of dinner, our coaches and
athletes are introduced to family and friends.
The Booster Club also
produces and publishes the fall, winter, and spring sports guides. The Sports
guides features information about our teams and photos of our athletes and
are supported through the sale of individual, family, and business ads. During the course of each
sport’s season, at home games, the Booster club displays MSHS “stars” showing
each varsity player’s name and number. At the end of their Mary Star athletic
career, our senior athletes receive their star gift from the Boosters. In the spring, the annual
MSHS Athletic Booster Golf Tournament takes place at Los Verdes Country Club
affording friends, supporters, and alumni an opportunity for a morning of
golf and friendship. Founded by the John Car
and Pat Gannon families, The John Car Memorial Award is presented at the
close of each sport’s season by the Booster Club to a Mary Star athlete for
their exemplary dedication, effort, and team support. The end of the school
year culminates with the awarding of the Mary Star High School Athletic
Booster Club five hundred dollar scholarships. These scholarships are
presented to our graduating senior athletes to commemorate their hard work
and effort in representing Throughout the entire
school year, members of the Mary Star Athletic Booster Club are busy
volunteering their time helping to make support and enhance the high school
